News of this showed up on my Twitter feed overnight. Nearly an entire block in downtown New West caught fire early Thursday, destroying several heritage buildings and taking out numerous businesses. Thankfully, nobody was hurt (a cat was even saved from one of the buildings), but it's a huge blow to the city which has been going through a revitalization.

:: Fire destroys half block in downtown New Westminster
:: Wall of flames burns through New Westminster, B.C. destroying blocks of heritage buildings
:: New West storeowners devastated after fire tears through downtown

Here's an areal view I captured from one of the news videos. The roadway in the top of the shot is the parkade where episodes such as "The Rapture", "Nightshifter", and "Sympathy For The Devil" were filmed. It is unharmed as far as I know. If you watch any of the news videos in the links above you can see firefighters were on top of the parkade as they fought the blaze.

Here I've taken a snapshot of my Google Map of New Westminster and blocked out in red the section of buildings that were destroyed by the fire.

Here's the locations that have been effected:

1.05 "Bloody Mary" - The actual building the boys go into wasn't harmed, but the building you can see across the street in the first cap (and on the right in the Google St. View) below is now gone.

Mckenzie & Front, New Westminister

6.15 "The French Mistake" - The store where Virgil buys the guns is no more.

Westley Military Surplus Ltd‬ ‪
623 Front‬ ‪New Westminster, BC V3M 1A1, Canada

8.20 "Pac-Man Fever" - Perhaps the hardest blow of all...the clothing store where Dean takes Charlie to shop for FBI threads was destroyed. :(

Polka Dot Boutique
626 Columbia St,
New Westminster, BC V3M 1A5

that's sad news. I feel sorry for the people who lost property. I hope they feel the good wishes from the Supernatural community.

I also really like your Charlie caps. :)

At least nobody was harmed, that's the most important thing. But its sad to know these places just don't exist anymore

So very sad. My sympathies and prayers to all who lost property and thanking God no one was injured. Hoping everyone affected can recover from this loss.

I hate it when this kind of thing happens. But it's good that nobody was hurt. But the clothing store which was burnt down (which has really cool cothes in it when I saw the show!) I hope is rebuilt soon.
